Anadrako, Oklahoma: 1954-1961

After two years at Shiprock, Owen and Carrie were eager to return to Oklahoma, and hoped for a transfer back to Chilocco Indian School, or maybe even the Sequoyah School in their hometown of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. When an opportunity presented itself to relocate to Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, they jumped at the chance.
Soon, the girls were enrolled in the Anadarko Public Schools, where they both stayed through graduation.
